Nobel Biocare announced a trio of innovations including the launch of the new NobelProcera 2G System 3D dental lab scanner during the European Association for Osseointegration Congress in Dublin.
Along with the launch of the new scanner, Nobel Biocare also announced a new open access connection allowing 3Shape users the ability to design and order NobelProcera Abutments, as well as a new connection between NobelClinician Software and the OsseoCare Pro iPad-powered drill unit for improved implant treatment efficiency, according to a press release.
The new NobelProcera 2G System 3D lab scanner can be used for everything from single copings to full arch cases, and scans with greater precision and speed than the original NobelProcera scanner, according to a press release. With a new Smart Motorized Holder that helps automate scanning, the NobelProcera 2G scans 50% fasters and provides users with simplified workflows.
Nobel Biocare is running an exchange program to encourage current NobelProcera labs to upgrade to the new model.
Additional updates from Nobel Biocare include a new connection that will allow dental labs using 3Shape software to access the NobelProcera production system for the fabrication of custom NobelProcera Abutments in titanium or zirconia for Nobel Biocare and other major dental implant lines. Also a connection between the NobelClinician treatment planning software and the OsseoCare Pro implant motor allows treatment plans to be automatically loaded onto the implant motor for easier implant procedures.
