Enhanced Dental Product: Planmeca Romexis 6.0 Software Platform

Planmeca recently introduced a redesigned version of its all-in-one software, Planmeca Romexis® 6.0.

The latest version of the software features an enhanced user interface and a variety of new tools and features, according to a press release. The platform supports a versatile range of imaging modalities including 2D, 3D and CAD/CAM. It offers an all-in-one solution for all specialties and clinics of all sizes.

The new version of the image management software offers easy navigation with fewer clicks and a customizable user interface that streamlines the workflow. The modern look and feel highlights usability. Flexible workflow wizards make the software easy to use.

The unified image browser can be used for all types of patient images including 2D and 3D x-rays, photos, 3D photos, intraoral scans, CAD/CAM cases and videos. Any image capture or scan can be started from the same view with one click. It’s also easy to import and export all types of data.

The software’s 2D study templates have been redesigned and are now easier to manage. Dual-screen viewing of 2D images with 3D images is also possible with detachable image pop-up windows.

Romexis 6.0 is designed to work with Planmeca Solanna Vision. The operating light with integrated 4K cameras makes it possible to take high-quality still images and videos.

The Romexis CMF Surgery module enables fully digital orthognathic surgery planning, splint design and soft tissue simulation. The Romexis Implant Guide module now features a virtual tooth extraction feature, while the Romexis Smile Design module comes with AI-based automatic image cropping and orientation as well as improved photorealistic simulations. The Romexis Dental PACS module makes it possible to use Romexis as a device-independent image archive with full treatment planning features and increases support for multi-site clinic operations.

The open software platform also can store and view images from third-party devices.
