Planmeca Romexis Now Integrated with Henry Schein One DDX and Reveal Clear Aligners

Planmeca Romexis Now Integrated with Henry Schein One DDX and Reveal Clear Aligners

The Planmeca Romexis® open platform software is now integrated with Henry Schein One’s Digital Dental Exchange (DDX®), a web-based service.

The integration will enhance communication between practices and laboratories, offer seamless connectivity between practice management software and lab-management applications, and make it easy to share data between practices and labs, according to a press release.

Customers can now easily use Planmeca Romexis to send an intraoral scan, CBCT file and patient images to DDX by clicking a button, improving efficiencies.

Planmeca Romexis is an all-in-one software platform that includes a variety of modules to diagnose and treatment plan. The latest version offers a redesigned patient interface giving access to all patient data from 2D, 3D, CAD/CAM, videos and PDFs in a single image browser.

Dentists using DDX can now easily create a new case that’s pre-populated with the patient’s information and transfer and store multiple patient files and other pertinent information to their lab quickly and securely. DDX’s intuitive interface and integrated workflow makes it easy for practitioners to manage the creation of correct scan-to-patient-to-treatment plans. The interoperative network connects with other digital dentistry technologies, simplifying the clinical workflow among dentists, labs and specialists.

The integration also improves communication for clinicians using Reveal® Clear Aligners from Henry Schein Orthodontics. Dentists can easily send patient information through Planmeca Romexis, integrating with the DDX portal. Trained technicians then review the patient records and create a treatment protocol for the dentist, who then reviews and approves the treatment, making any necessary adjustments and tracking the case’s progress.

DDX and Romexis’ imaging capabilities make it possible to show what patients’ teeth could look like after treatment. This helps improve communication and build trust with patients.
