New research presented at the 62nd Congress of the European Organization for Caries Research shows that The Canary System from Quantum Dental Technologies is capable of monitoring caries progression in teeth treated with DMG’s ICON resin infiltrant.
The study validated the effectiveness of both products as it showed that The Canary System is able to detect carious lesion changes even after resin infiltrant treatment, and it demonstrated how ICON is able to delay caries progression. The study involved immersing ICON treated teeth in a highly acidic solution for up to 50 days.
