Model Precision From 3D Systems Printer Verified by 3Shape

The accuracy of models produced by the ProJet 3510 printer from 3D systems have been verified by 3Shape and the printer is now integrated with 3Shape’s Model Builder software.

Printed using 3D Systems’ VisiJet Pearlstone material, the dental models can be created from digital impressions or scans of physical impressions. The 3D printer can produce the models with 30 micron layers of the VisiJet Pearlstone material and an average accuracy of 50 microns, according to a press release. The material is available in both matte and glossy finishes and produces models with the look and feel of hand poured dental models.

The integration between 3Shape and 3D Systems goes even further as Model Builder users who do not have a 3D printer can use the software to send files directly to 3D Systems for model printing.
