New 3Shape Advisory Board Releases Four Point Plan to Guide the Future of Digital Dentistry

A newly formed Dental Advisory Board will help 3Shape develop digital technologies that will improve dental patient care around the globe.

Comprised of 11 dentists and one dental lab owner who hail from 8 different countries and work with a variety of digital dental systems including but not limited to those created by 3Shape, the Board has been tasked with providing insight and direction on the direction of 3Shape’s digital dental technologies, according to a press release.

At the group’s first meeting in September in Copenhagen, Denmark, the Board created a four-point plan to guide its future work. The plan calls for sharing best practices using digital technologies, defining the needs for better dentistry based on actual cases, supporting the research and development of innovative technologies, and promoting education and awareness of digital dentistry.

Future plans call for the board to meet bi-annually with a focus on moving the four point plant forward.
