Surgical implant guides designed in 3Shape’s soon be released Implant Studio software can be printed on the 3D Systems ProJet 3510 MP 3D Printer.
The guides can be printed from the company’s VisiJet Stoneplast material which is available in transparent or opaque formulations. The guides are printed directly from STL files exported from the software and are accurate and fully functional, according to a press release.
The 3Shape Implant Studio software is slated to launch in Europe in April 2014. The new software and printer connection is designed to make it quick and affordable for dental labs to produce surgical guides.
