Dental practices using Carestream Dental’s CS 3500 digital impression system can now send intraoral scans directly to MicroDental Laboratories for design and fabrication of dental restorations.
The connection with MicroDental gives practices using the CS 3500 a direct connection to a dental lab equipped to work with digital impressions, according to a press release. MicroDental is already capable of accepting digital impressions from a range of intraoral scanners.
The lab has experienced a 30% year over year growth in the number of cases submitted via digital impressions, and MicroDental offers dental practices an Impression Free Rebate Program that can be used to help offset the cost of a digital impression system.
