BIOLASE is continuing its shift to becoming a complete digital dental technology provider with a deal to distribute 3D printers from Stratasys.
The deal with Stratasys will allow BIOLASE to become a distributor for the Objet30 OrthoDesk printer as well as several Design Series 3D printers for higher end production. The Objet30 OrthoDesk is a desktop 3D printer capable of producing stone models, orthodontic appliances, trays and surgical guides.
The deal makes BIOLASE the first company to bring 3D printer sales to the chairside market, according to a press release. Along with the recent launch of the Galaxy BioMill CAD/CAM system, this move continues BIOLASE’s expansion to become a total dental technology solution.
