Interdental Brush Buyer’s Club Aims to Fight Periodontal Disease, Improve Oral Hygiene

Aiming to promote improved oral health by expanding the use of interdental brushes in patients’ home care routines, Long Island periodontist Dr. Paul Crane recently created the online Interdental Brush Buyers’ Club (IBBC).

The site, which was created in partnership with interdental brush manufacturers including Sunstar Americas’ Proxabrush G•U•M brand, Piksters, TePe, and StaiNo, is designed to make it easier for dental practices to provide patients with brush samples, and to make it easier for patients to find and order the brand and brush size they prefer, according to a press release.

The IBBC provides dental practices with a supply of free brush samples from the participating brands. Participating dentists receive an IBBC prescription pad to provide patients with the details on the recommended brand and size to order from the IBBC website. Patients can set up automatic delivery schedules to maintain a supply of brushes, and the referring practice receives credits equal to 7% of referring patient purchases which can be used to order a steady supply of samples for new patients.

The IBBC website also features education information about interdental brushing and its relationship to preventing and treating periodontal disease.
