Used to repair dentures that no longer fit, Soft Reline Materials are most often acrylics that can be quickly applied to an existing denture. Over time patients who wear dentures notice their removable appliance does not fit as well as it used to. This is when they bring the dentures in for relining, and even if your practice did not provide the dentures originally, it’s a good idea to be prepared by keeping denture reline materials on hand. Soft reline materials can be applied quickly in a dental practice or a dental laboratory to temporarily provide an improved fit for the existing dentures. While hard reline materials are designed to be used for long-term repairs, some of the newer denture soft reline materials can last several years as well.
