Panthera Dental introduced the Magnet-X removable wrap-around bar for all-on-x patients at the International Dental Show in Cologne.
The removable magnetic implant bar, part of the Integrated Bar product line, provides permanent stable magnetic retention that keeps dentures in place, according to a press release. It was developed with technical advice from Dr. Miles Reed Cone.
The magnetic forces guide the denture to the correct position and keeps it in place. The magnets self-align the bar into the right position autonomously, so patients don’t need to find the right position or chew. The magnetic male and female parts provide a durable solution and constant retention with no wear parts to replace.
The custom abutments included with the bar offer divergent implant flexibly with up to 30 degrees correction. The custom abutments are straight on implants, so there isn’t a need for additional multi-units.
The Magnet-X offers the same benefits as the Nylon Integrated Bar. It is perpendicular to the occlusal plane, compatible with more than 200 implant platforms and provides the same easy handling and hygienic advantages of a removable prosthesis.
