vhf recently introduced the E5 5-axis milling machine.
The dry milling machine for discs is both versatile and easy to use, according to a press release. The lightweight unit doesn’t require compressed air, making it cost effective and sustainable while also reducing installation site requirements.
The E5 features the company's patent-pending AIRTOOL, which generates air flow with its turbine blades. This keeps the workpiece free of chips during milling, saving the cost of running a compressor and allowing more freedom when choosing the installation site. The unit’s low weight is made possible by applying the finite element method, which originated in the aerospace industry. The cast body is maximized for rigidity and low weight.
The unit is built from high quality industrial components to ensure reliable operation and that almost are materials milled dry can be processed. Its low weight also makes it easy to transport.
The E5 features a service friendly design, with users able to replace central components if needed. Even though the machine is compact, it has a “generously dimensioned working space” that makes it easy to clamp the workpiece and load the tool changer.
DENTALCAM CAM software comes with the machine. It features an open interface with intuitive operating logic, fast machining strategies and a large material library.
