Dentsply Sirona introduced the new Primescan Connect, a laptop based version of the company’s Primescan intraoral scanner, at Dentsply Sirona World 2022.
Primescan Connect is powered by the recently updated cloud platform DS Core and the company’s service program DS Core Care, according to a press release.
Primescan Connect offers a highly connective 3D scanning technology at a lower cost. The solution combines the company’s fast, accurate intraoral scanner, Primescan, with a specified laptop. This increases flexibility and offers space savings when the intraoral scanner is not in use. The solution also offers validated workflows to all major lab software while maintaining the dental practice's work habits, fostering collaboration with dental labs.
The new intraoral scanner can be used for digital workflows such as restorative indications, implantology, orthodontics and sleep appliances, increasing efficiency and improving the patient experience.
Through the Primescan Connect Solution, the scanner is supported by DS Core and DS Core Care.
The cloud-based DS Core allows clinicians to securely store and share data. The tool, developed in collaboration with Google Cloud and launched in March, supports HIPAA/GDPR compliance, maintains the openness, flexibility and ease of use of the most common methods of digital dental collaboration while allowing users to access patient records anytime, anywhere. DS Core connects digital dental hardware and software through one platform, helping to improve efficiency.
