New Dental Products: T3® PRO Tapered Implant and Encode® Emergence Healing Abutment From ZimVie

ZimVie recently introduced two new products for implant dentistry: the T3® PRO tapered implant and the Encode® emergence healing abutment.

The T3 PRO builds on the proven T3 Tapered Implant while the healing abutment builds on the company’s 3-in-1 Encode impression system, according to a press release. The system, which provides clear intraoral scans and esthetics, is designed for patient comfort and healing.

The T3 PRO’s advanced design offers high primary stability and allows for immediate function. Its hybrid surface features the proprietary Osseotite® surface on the implant collar, which is also superimposed on the grit-blasted implant body. The hybrid surface, along with the optional integrated platform switching design, has been shown to provide early and long-term peri-implant bone support. T3 PRO boosts surgical performance with modernized collar design for placement depth adjustment, and self-tapping threads for controlled insertion. These elements deliver an optimal torque profile and improved tactile feel during placement.

Encode Emergence technology is designed to simplify the digital workflow. The 3-in-1 healing abutment, impression coping, and scan-body improves efficiency by reducing the need for multiple abutment removals (dis/reconnects) in the treatment process. It also helps improve hard and soft tissue preservation.

Redesigned emergence profiles on the abutment facilitate natural gingival tissue healing for esthetics. With its intuitive codes on the top surface and a matte appearance, the healing abutment allows for clear intraoral scanning and restoration precision. The pink color more closely matches the gingiva than uncolored titanium healing abutments, enhancing esthetics.

The company will begin commercial rollout of these solutions in the United States, with plans to expand to additional countries pending necessary regulatory approvals.
