Oral-B introduced the Oral-B iO10 with iOSense™ at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES) along with other innovations, including iO4 and iO5 brushes.
The iO10, a CES Innovation Award Honoree, is built on the success of the Oral-B iO, which was released in 2020 and features a linear magnetic drive, bi-modal smart pressure sensor, and redesigned brush head, according to a press release. The new Oral-B iO10 with iOSense™ is designed to offer an intuitive and connective experience. It provides users with live coaching directly on the iOSense Charger, guiding time, pressure and coverage in real-time without users needing a phone in the bathroom.
The rechargeable, electric toothbrush has seven different brushing modes for a personalized experience. It comes with a clock and a timer to help users ensure they brush for 2 minutes. Brushing data syncs to the Oral-B app to offer greater insights into brushing habits.
The iO electric toothbrush line also now includes iO4 and iO5 brushes, enabling more people to improve their brushing habits. Both brushes feature multiple modes to personalize the cleaning experience, with rainbow celebration lights appearing after users have brushed for two minutes. They both feature refill LED reminders directly on the handles, while the iO5 can provide real-time coverage tracking and coaching through the Oral-B app.
Oral-B also announced a partnership with the Grin teledentistry platform. Through the partnership, orthodontists can virtually recommend the oral care products and behaviors their patients need to maintain good oral health treatment. In the coming months, Oral-B and Grin will begin to introduce “innovation that empowers consumers and their families to take greater control of their oral health at home.”
