onDiem Launches COVID-19 Records Tracking Service

National dental staffing platform onDiem recently launched a COVID-19 records tracking service and is offering it free to dental practices for a limited time. It is part of a larger Digital ID credentialing service the company launched earlier this year.

The records tracking feature was developed to help practices maintain compliance with new state COVID-19 mandates, according to a press release. Employees can upload documents such as COVID-19 vaccination cards, exemption requests or proof of a negative COVID-19 test, or dental professionals can upload these documents on an employees’ behalf. The service also allows practices to verify and approve documents as well as store them for future access.

The larger Digital ID credentialing service uses automated primary source verification to monitor current state licenses and check compliance with regulating entities. onDiem customers using the Digital ID service will automatically have access to the COVID-19 tracking feature.

“As employers of dental professionals ourselves, we were already working on expanding our Digital ID service to include a new solution that would allow temp professionals to share their COVID-19 records with us to confirm their eligibility to work in mandate states,” onDiem CEO and Founder Joe Fogg said, according to the release. “Extending that service to our practice customers just seemed like the right thing to do—not just for them, but for their employees, and for the industry in general.”
