Vista Apex’s PinkWave Curing Light Receives The Catapult Vote of Confidence

The PinkWave QuadWave™ curing light from Vista Apex recently earned The Catapult Vote of Confidence.

The company’s patented QuadWave™ Technology uses UV, blue, red and near-infrared (NIR) light, according to a press release. It also features a large curing area, enabling clinicians to cure any size restoration in one cycle. The slim, lightweight curing light can access posterior restorations without creating patient discomfort. It also features a built-in transilluminator to detect cracks and caries, leading to improved diagnostic capabilities.

Catapult Education evaluators clinically tested and reviewed the curing light, with 90% of them recognizing the reduction in composite shrinkage as a valuable feature. Eighty percent of evaluators found PinkWave to be ergonomically designed while 73% said the light made it easer to access difficult areas.

"I think this light has a lot going for it,” Catapult evaluator Dr. Daniel H Ward said, according to the release. “First, this light is powerful. It is easy to use, and the pink gives it a ‘coolness’ factor. It has a sleek design and is ergonomic. I am anxious to see how the additional red and near infra-red LEDs improve the physical properties.”
