New Dental Product: Cazoo Extraoral Aerosol Evacuator From SOTA Imaging

SOTA Imaging recently released Cazoo, an extraoral aerosol evacuator designed to reduce dental aerosols and help protect against the particles that transmit COVID-19.

Cazoo connects directly to standard high-volume evacuator (HVE) lines, allowing practices to quickly begin reducing aerosols, according to a press release. HVE attachments are said to help significantly reduce airborne particles.

The new aerosol evacuator can be applied using a lip attachment or attached to most leading cheek retractors. A splash guard, which is sold separately, can be attached to Cazoo for extra protection.

The ability to directly apply Cazoo to the lip or use a cheek retractor allows for hands-free use. An arm accessory, also sold separately, gives clinicians the ability to precisely position the device to enable two-handed dentistry and hygiene procedures.

By reducing aerosols, the cost-effective device makes dental team members feel safe and protected, helping dentists recruit and retain staff.
