Kerr recently introduced the ZenFlex NiTi rotary shaping file.
The file features high cutting efficiency and a minimally invasive design, according to a press release. ZenFlex is designed to provide optimal resistance and cyclic fatigue while also offering the flexibility and controlled memory needed for complex canal anatomies.
This is possible through the proprietary variable heat treatment technology used in the file. Through this heat treatment process, the file provides the strength and flexibility needed to accommodate up to 90-degree curves. The file has the controlled memory to maintain its pre-curved shape, enabling it to better follow challenging canal anatomies.
ZenFlex offers endodontists a minimally invasive shaping file option, with a 1 mm maximum flute diameter and a non-cutting tip. Together, these features help increase control during root canal procedures and preserve the tooth’s structural integrity.
