3Shape recently released the newest version of its software, 3Shape Dental System 2019.
The software includes enhanced solutions for designing and producing dentures, splints and clear aligners, as well as improvements to core workflows, according to a press release.
The update includes improvements to the company’s denture design software, making it more profitable for labs to produce dentures digitally. New features include teeth-in-blocks, an optimized try-in denture workflow and improved TRIOS intraoral scanner integration and alignment. Clear Aligner Studio also has been enhanced with new automated features such as ID tagging, attachment sizing and placement.
The 3Shape Splint Studio makes it possible for labs to easily produce splints, night guards, protectors and other dental appliances.
The software also now includes a new set of smile libraries for 3Shape Dental System and 3Shape Smile design. The libraries are based on real people’s smiles and are included in a corresponding coffee-table book patients can look through. Labs can create the restoration patients choose via the matching library in 3Shape Dental System.
The software is also up to 10 times faster to start new cases, re-open previously designed cases and for the import and export of material settings.
