The HDL 2.5x Macro Loupe from Orascoptic recently scored the highest in resolution and light transmission in a third-party lab study.
The loupes demonstrated better clarity than the other 2.5x magnification loupes that were tested, according to a press release.
Resolution was tested through an industry-standard USAF resolution protocol. Light transmission was evaluated by measuring the percent of total light preserved as it passed through the optical lenses.
The HDL 2.5x loupe optics scored up to 125% better than competitors on resolution tests and up to 40% better on light transmission tests.
