Nexa3D and BEGO introduced the Varseo XL dental lab 3D printer at IDS 2019.
Marketed under the BEGO brand, the printer accurately prints at high speeds to reduce restoration production time, according to a press release. It reportedly has the capacity to print at up to 6X the speed, 10X the volume, and 5X the print area of other comparable 3D printers.
The 3D printer features Nexa3D’s proprietary Lubricant Sublayer Photo-curing (LSPc) technology to accurately print at high speeds. This technology uses a patented structured light matrix that can reach top speeds of 1Z centimeter per minute, increasing dental lab production throughput to tens of parts per build while reducing cycle times.
The printer is designed to print with the full range of BEGO dental materials for models, trays, permanent restorations, bridges, crowns, surgical guides and CAD/Cast applications. Varseo XL comes equipped with cognitive software and integrated sensors to optimize printer performance, provide detailed predictive and prescriptive diagnostics, and offer continuous monitoring.
Nexa3D will manufacture the printer and BEGO will market and sell it. BEGO plans to commercialize the Varseo XL within the next 12 months through its dental reseller network.
