CUBEX recently introduced QBud, a wireless inventory management device.
The device allows customers to manage supply items across their entire inventory, according to a press release. It offers wireless storage and security for critical medications as well as automated transaction logging and on-demand inventory reporting.
QBud is Bluetooth and NFC-enabled, smaller than a credit card and comes in packs of 20. Groups of these devices are typically arranged on a shelf or attached to bins beneath products they’re assigned to manage.
Once in place, they devices are connected to the customer’s software system via the CUBEX Inventory Management Assistant. A LCD screen on the face of each device displays the product description and quantity on hand, while a simple user interface allows customers to tell the device when they’re taking or restocking items.
Once an item reaches its assigned minimum threshold, QBud automatically places an order for more, and then shows the user when the order is on the way.
QBud provides detailed reports that help maximize efficiency, improving key performance metrics. It is available as a monthly subscription.
