Solvay Dental 360's Ultaire AKP Polymer Material Approved for Use With Amann Girrbach's Ceramill CAD/CAM Workflows

A partnership between Solvay Dental 360 and Amann Girrbach creates a new workflow for producing removable partial denture frames.

The new validated workflow for Amann Girrbach's Ceramill CAD/CAM system allows users to produce removable partial denture frames with Solvay Dental 360's Ultaire AKP high-performance polymer material, according to a press release. The new workflow aims to make the ketone polymer material more accessible to patients and clinicians.

Rigid and durable, but also flexible enough to engage undercuts, Ultaire AKP can be used to create comfortable, lightweight, and highly esthetic removable partial denture frames. The new workflow will be available in an August 2018 update to the Ceramill software and include specific parameters for designing frames with the polymer material, as well as CAM milling strategies for efficient production.
