Dentsply Sirona recently introduced SICAT Endo 3D software.
The fully integrated and complete 3D solution is designed for the diagnosis and planning of endodontic treatment and also supports clinical implementation with surgical guides, according to a press release.
With the software, root canals can be easily identified in 3D, and the working length and depth of the access cavity can be determined.
The user-friendly software also makes it easy to diagnose heavily curved and calcified canals.
The software combines high-resolution intraoral 2D x-ray images and information from 3D x-ray data. The simultaneous navigation in 2D and 3D orients clinicians in all dimensions so they can concentrate on the root canal to be diagnosed.
SICAT Endo is optimized for 2D and 3D x-ray units and CEREC by Dentsply Sirona. The software is fully integrated in Sidexis 4 with 3D data from Galileos and Orthophos SL units combined with 2D data, including Schick 33 and Schick Elite sensors. No export and manual import of data are required. The integration of optical impressions allows the occlusal surface to be visualized precisely, optimizing planning for the access cavity and determination of the working lengths.
