Ultradent Products recently released Thermo Clone VPS impression material.
The bubblegum-scented polysiloxane impression material features consistent setting times and thermal set curing that activates when placed in the patient’s mouth, according to a press release. The temperature sensitive material allows for a long working time, a short setting time and minimal time in the critical zone where distortions occur.
The material is hydrophilic, which is said to ensure precise impressions by displacing moisture so the material can reach every part of the tooth. Its high tear strength makes it possible for clinicians to remove the material without worrying about breaks or tears. The material also has optimal dimensional stability, which allows it to maintain its shape during transfer to the lab.
The VPS material works with all automatic mixing machines and comes with the company’s mixing tip.
