New Dental Products: Polaroid Wired Intraoral Camera and Keren Sensors from Polaroid Dental Imaging

Polaroid Dental Imaging recently released two Keren sensors and the Polaroid Wired Intraoral Camera.

Both the Keren intraoral sensor and the Keren HD intraoral sensor offer optimal image quality via a theoretical resolution of >25 lp/mm associated to 14 bit grey levels, according to information on the company website.

The accompanying software features a color gauge on the finished image that allows users to determine optimal x-ray parameters. The standard software allows for image modification, enabling users to refine images through contrast, brightness and gamma values.

Both sensors use CMOS sensor technology with a fiber optic, scintillator, and shock absorption area. They are available in Sizes 1 and 2 to detect all areas of the mouth of any size jaw from adult to Pediatrics. The sensors can be easily integrated into the office with single or multiple station connectivity via the USB connection. The 3 meter cable length makes it possible to reach the capture device effectively.

The sensors feature rounded corners and a slim design for optimal handling, positioning and patient comfort. They are Twain capable to work with industry leading practice management software.

The HD version is fully compliant with FDA regulations and Health Canada Requirements. The regular version is available for sale only outside of the U.S. and Canada.

Polaroid Intraoral CameraThe intraoral camera is designed to enhance case presentations and improve patient education. It features four color modes, LED intensity control, semi focus, auto focus and angle rotation. The camera easily integrates with most imaging and practice management software. It comes with free imaging software as well as training and one-year unlimited telephone support and customer service.
