DEXIS Eleven, building on the brand of the DEXIS Imaging Suite, offers dentists a range of workflow and case presentation improvements as well as Cloud Backup and CloudVu for remote access to images.
Workflow improvements include drag-and-drop tooth numbering, enhanced security and fewer clicks for case presentation, according to a press release.
This imaging software retains the functionality of previous DEXIS versions and is designed to make practices more efficient. DEXIS Eleven uses DEXIS Core as the centralized location to store patient images, allowing easy access. DEXIS Core powers new online tools, including Cloud Backup of patient images and CloudVu for remote access of patient images.
The tooth number dialogue allows users to assign tooth numbers using drag-and-drop functionality. With this new feature, it’s easy to move imported and intraoral camera images into predefined tooth number bins. Users can assign a specific tooth number if needed. The new History View feature sorts and displays patient images by date to make searching faster when viewing past images.
DEXIS Eleven allows users to create logins and to access audit data on user activity for added security. Patient data stored on Cloud Backup is encrypted on its way to the cloud and when it’s stored. Cloud Backup also offers additional audit tracking, redundancy and temperature-controlled server environments to help ensure patient data is secure.
Once images are stored in the cloud, DEXIS Eleven users can also add CloudVu. This Web-based extension of DEXIS is intuitive and enables users to access patient images from anywhere at any time. It requires a Chrome browser on a desktop or laptop.
Current DEXIS users can easily upgrade to this new software while patient images migrate in the background. DEXIS is a brand of the Kavo Kerr Group and is distributed exclusively by Henry Schein.
