AMD Lasers recently released the Picasso+ series of soft tissue dental lasers, an upgrade to the company’s original Picasso and Picasso Lite.
The Picasso+ and Picasso Lite+ offer more power and more easy to use functions, according to a press release. The lasers offer periodontal treatment timers for more predictable results. There’s also a timer for aphthous ulcer modes.
The easy to use, affordable lasers come with a full touchscreen interface with new preset modes. They feature adjustable interval and duration pulsed modes as well as fiber delivery systems that are located on the front of each unit. Other upgrades include a new electronic connection detection and an optional battery pack called Boost.
The lasers, along with the new LiteTouch hard tissue laser, will be showcased at this year’s Chicago Midwinter Meeting Feb. 25-27.

The Picasso+ and Picasso Lite+ combine ease of use at a very affordable price. Each unit boasts a full touchscreen interface with new preset modes and treatment timers for periodontal treatment and aphthous ulcer modes (Picasso+ includes timers for Whitening). Interval and Duration pulsed modes are fully adjustable. The fiber delivery system is located on the front of each unit with NEW electronic connection detection along with a host of other upgrades including a new optional battery pack called Boost.
The new Picassos will be showcased along with the new LiteTouch hard tissue laser in a few weeks at the 151ST MIDWINTER MEETING in Chicago, IL February 25-27.
