New Dental Product: ProVecta S-Pan Ceph from Air Techniques

Air Techniques recently added the ProVecta S-Pan Ceph to its ProVecta product line.

The ProVecta S-Pan Ceph produces quick cephalometric projections at a low dose, according to a press release. It offers a short 4.1 second scanning time that reduces the risk of motion blur for high quality images. The low x-ray dose and short scan time makes this unit well suited for young patients undergoing orthodontic treatment.

The unit’s two high-end CsI sensors gives it all the functions and advantages of the ProVecta S-Pan Panoramic X-Ray. The sensors also eliminate the need to switch between the panoramic x-ray unit and the cephalometric arm. Users just need to set the program mode.

The company’s S-Pan technology uses an algorithm to compile up to 20 layers from one panoramic rotation into a clear, sharp image of the dental anatomy.

The unit features 17 panoramic programs and five programs for cephalometric x-ray recordings, which are Head lateral L, PA head, SMV (submentovertex), Waters view and Hand (Carpus).
