In a move aimed at providing enhanced customer service, 3M announced that it is merging 3M ESPE Dental and 3M Unitek Orthodontics into a single unit, 3M Oral Care.
The move is effective immediately, and the company believes the combined unit will be better equipped to provide dentists with a complete selection of solutions for the entire continuum of oral care, according to a press release. The company plans to continue to deliver innovative products and solutions to the entire dental industry, and views products such as the 3M True Definition Scanner—which offers dental and orthodontic applications—as an example of how the combined 3M Oral Care unit can be a partner to the entire dental industry.
