Designed to provide clinicians with confidence in their use of bulk fill materials, the Elipar DeepCure-S and Paradigm DeepCure LED curing lights from 3M ESPE are capable of providing optimal and uniform curing even when the light can’t be placed in the perfect position.
Optimized optics help the curing lights deliver a uniform beam with rays that stay parallel and do not significantly spread as they travel from the light to the material being cured, according to a press release. The focused beam provided more even distribution of energy throughout the restoration.
Both lights work with an intensity of 1,470 mW/cm2 and provide identical technical performance. The Elipar light is built from stainless steel and includes charging on a base with a built-in light meter, while the Paradigm model is a lighter weight and more economical light. Both feature two-button operation and can provide approximately 720 10-second cures on full charge.
