With faster performance and new innovations designed to radically increase dental lab efficiency, 3Shape announced the launch of four new dental laboratory 3D scanning systems.
The D2000 and D1000 represent a pair of new top of the line scanning options, while the new D850 and D750 mid-level scanners are upgrades of the previously available D800 and D700 scanners. New multi-line scan technology powering the D2000 and D1000 scanners provides a 30 percent improvement in scanning speeds, according to a press release.
Equipped with four 5.0 megapixel cameras and enhanced mechanics designed to improve scanning accuracy, the D2000 and D1000 scanners are both capable of scanning models with the dies in place, saving dental labs time and reducing the number of scans required to digitize a dental model. The D2000 scanner features room to scan two models simultaneously allowing a single scan to capture both the upper and lower models, and the individual dies.
Auto-Occlusion technology in the 3Shape scanning software allows technicians to skip the step of taking a bite scan as the software automatically merges the upper and lower models with a correct bite. With the D2000 scanning everything at once for a case, the scanner can reduce workflow steps and handling time by 40%.
The improved D850 and D 750 scanners are designed with blue LED scan technology that reduces scan noise and larger interior space for increased efficiency. A three year LABcare service plan subscription is now included with a purchase of the D850, D750 and the currently available D900L scanners.
