Henry Schein’s Tech Central Helps Plant More than 6,500 Trees

As a part of the company’s drive to offset computer carbon-dioxide emissions and promote recycling of e-waste, Henry Schein’s TechCentral teams have helped plant more than 6,500 trees in the past year.

The TechCentral team participates in DELL Inc.’s Plant a Tree for Me program which means for every DELL computer sold by Henry Schein’s TechCentral team, a tree is planted on that customer’s behalf. The program was kicked off by the company’s computer and business technology solutions and services team in 2007. Since Earth Day last year 6,500 trees were planted, and approximately 25,000 trees have been planted through the program during the past six years, according to a press release.

Additionally, TechCentral will help customers recycle computer waste by arranging pickup of old and unused computers, servers, printers and other computer equipment. Additional information on Henry Schein’s green resources for customers can be found at www.henryscheindental.com/green.
