Designed to provide optimal magnification and illumination without encumbering the clinician, Orascoptic’s XV1 combines high quality through-the-lens loupes with a lightweight headlight into a simple design with no external wires.
Featuring the company’s smallest and lightest headlight, the frames are designed with all cables running internally, so there is nothing for a clinician to get tangled, according to details from the Orascoptic’s website. The battery to power the lights is contained in the frames’ temple arms and packs up to 10 hours of runtime with up to 4,000 foot candles of light intensity.
The frames are fully adjustable to evenly distribute the weight of the loupes and light in order to make wearing the XV1 comfortable. Additionally the capacitive touch controls make the light simple to operate during clinical procedures.
The frames can be fit with prescription lenses, and the loupes can be either Orascoptic’s HiRes or HiRes Plus telescopes for a magnification range of 2.5x to 4.8X. The XV1 is available in three color options and the frames and included carrying case can be custom engraved.
