Henry Schein, Supplier Partners and The Henry Schein Cares Foundation to Donate More than $1 Million to Hurricane Sandy Relief Efforts

In a joint effort with its supplier partners and its philanthropic arm The Henry Schein Cares Foundation, Henry Schein announced a commitment to donate more than $1 million in health care supplies and cash to local relief organizations and communities impacted by Hurricane Sandy.

The Hurricane hit the community around Henry Schein’s Long Island headquarters, and CEO Stanley M. Bergman said in a press release that the company is ready to stand with its neighbors, partners and customers and is, “eager to do anything we can to support local organizations providing relief to those in need."

The company will provide direct donations of health care and hygiene products, and it also created the Henry Schein Hurricane Relief Fund to provide anyone interested in helping the cause with a means to make financial donations. All donations from Team Schein members will be matched by Henry Schein. Additionally, the company plans to host food and clothing drives at its headquarters.

Information on how to donate to the fund can be found in the full press release from Henry Schein.
