Lanmark360 Creates Shave the Shore Campaign to Help Victims of Hurricane Sandy

Like many residents of New Jersey, Howard Klein has seen and felt the destruction left in the wake of Hurricane Sandy. Now the President and Owner of healthcare PR firm Lanmark360 is planning to do something to help the victims of the storm.

The firm’s offices still have no heat and limited power, but Klein created the Shave the Shore campaign to raise funds to help other storm victims. Klein is promising not to shave until his online campaign raises $10,000. Based on the message Klein posted to the campaign website, it’s clear this is a personal campaign and a cause close to his heart…and face.

And that message is getting through. In less than a full day of fundraising he’s already more than a ¼ of the way to his goal.

Here’s Klein’s statement from the Shave the Shore fundraising website:

Like most New Jerseyans I am devastated by the damage of Hurricane Sandy and saddened that our beaches are gone. So, as President and Owner of Lanmark360, a healthcare communications firm at the Jersey Shore, what's one to do? Launch a campaign. That campaign is "Shave the Shore." As founder of this campaign I have pledged NOT TO SHAVE until I raise $10,000 to help those affected by Hurricane Sandy. Please help me reach my goal at which time I will celebrate with a nice, hot shave at Franks Barber Shop, West Long Branch. I invite others to join the cause by refraining from shaving and setting their own fundraising goals.
