Dental Art and Dental Science: A Case Study by Dr. Robert Ritter and Nelson Rego

Nelson Rego, CDT. Nelson owns Smile Designs in Southern California and has over 25 years of experience in the field. His Smile Designs have been featured in numerous publications; and he has served as a contributing lab for many live patient courses including Pac-Live, the Hornbrook Group and the Pacific Implant Institute. Robert G. Ritter DMD, is a well-known clinician and lecturer whose Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. practice, The Studio of Esthetic Dentistry, focuses on adhesive esthetic dentistry. He promotes esthetic dentistry as part of his mainstream dental care.

Here Dr. Ritter and Mr. Rego share a recent case that captures the beauty and accuracy of a well prepped produced CAD/CAM restoration.

Patient presented with old restorations and it was determined that two full crowns would be the best treatment. The restoration was produced using Ekton zirconium and Emax Zirpress pressed ceramic.
