Treatment Planning | A 3-D Diagnostic Model is created from an alginate impression or scanned plaster model. These digital models provide an initial record of your patient. With SureSmile, you can use the Diagnostic Model to simulate different treatment options. Use the bracket of your choice to bond the patient as you normally would and use a straight-wire for leveling. You will scan the patient three to six months after bonding using the OraScanner® or Cone-Beam Computed Tomagraphy. The scan records the bracket and tooth location. The SureSmile Digital Lab creates a mid-treatment or Therapeutic Model from the scan data. The Therapeutic Model is used for set-up and treatment planning. SureSmile uses complex algorithms to create the wire design based on the approved Set-up model.
