VPS impressions allow for better fitting restorations. The material allows for a range of viscosities from light body that can be administered with a syringe, to heavy body and putty materials often used for bite impressions. Depending on the restoration or impression needed, various viscosity VPS materials can be used. Set time can vary depending on viscosity and different VPS brands, but often ranges anywhere from 2 to 5 minutes.
