Practice management software is the both the brains and heart of the modern dental practice. The software keeps track of vital patient information and makes it accessible where the dentists, hygienists and other staff members need it. Most systems integrate imaging, insurance claims, billing and other vital functions. During the recent ADA Annual Session Henry Schein drew crowds while showing off the new Viive practice software for Mac computers running Apple's OS X operating system. While that system is scheduled to launch later this year, here are some other options currently available for practices with Macs in the office.
