New General Manager Joins Dentalcompare

Dentalcompare, a buyer's guide for dental professionals, today announced the appointment of John Schwartz as General Manager. With his dynamic 10-year career in sales and marketing, John brings proven experience in business development.

"We are thrilled to have John join the Dentalcompare team," said Matt McLean, Dentalcompare Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer. "With his experience in marketing and B2B sales strategy, and the contacts he has made in the dental community, John is the ideal candidate to help us further our goal of becoming the one-stop shop for dental professionals who are looking for the most up-to-date product information available."

It will be a challenge for Schwartz to improve upon a model that is already surpassing industry standards. With Dentalcompare's extensive product listings, new product showcases, videos, newsletter sponsorships and rich- media ads that surround articles written by industry leaders, advertisers know that Dentalcompare is the ideal way to connect with end users in the dental industry.

"I am excited to be working with a platform that efficiently matches the needs of advertisers with the natural strengths of the internet, helping dentists go from interest in a product they see in a magazine or at a tradeshow to trial of that product," Schwartz said. "Our objective is simple: accelerate the sales cycle by educating and qualifying each dentist that visits the site, and delivering the highest quality leads to our partners. This drives preference for their brands and increases sales."

Before coming to Dentalcompare, Schwartz served as Southwest Sales Manager and Associate Publisher of Dental Practice Report for Advanstar Dental Media, where he developed new business by integrating and selling print, custom and interactive advertising. Prior to his experience at Advanstar, John was successful in launching the New York Times B2B web site. Through his experience there, John developed a partnership with one of the world's leading subscription brokers to design a technical and strategic overhaul of The NYT Electronic Edition, positioning it for enterprise success with Fortune 1000 companies.
