Polyester Sutures

Polyester sutures are nonresorbable sutures well suited for long-term wound closure situations. These sutures are made from braided polyethylene terephthalate and can be uncoated or coated in silicone for easier placement and knotting. The material does not break down over time, allowing these sutures to be used when suture strength is important to the success of a treatment.
