Polypropylene Sutures

Polypropylene sutures are non-resorbable and made from a synthetic polymer that is ideal for use closing wounds with long healing times. Often dyed blue for visibility, these sutures provide the strength and flexibility that is desired in a suture and do not degrade over time after placement. The material should be delivered in sterile packaging and generally does not irritate surrounding tissue during healing.
