Komet USA recently released the FQ Endodontic File System.
The rotary, heat treated system is designed to make complex root canal cases more efficient, reliable and safer, according to a blog post on the company website.
The endodontic file system offers optimal cutting efficiency while respecting the tooth’s natural anatomy. Its double-S cross section and variably tapered core effectively unclogs apical debris, shortening root canal preparation time.
Its patented variably tapered file core offers flexible and large chip space for instruments with taper .06. The system offers a variety of files to adapt to specific cases while preserving the natural canal anatomy. The heat-treated NiTi file is also less likely to separate because of its high cyclic fatigue resistance.
Komet’s endodontic product portfolio now features the FQ Opener, FQ Glider and FQ files in L21, L25 and L31 lengths. With the release of the FQ, Komet has discontinued the F360 and F6.
