Dentsply Sirona recently announced upgrades to its SureSmile® Aligner Software.
The updates are designed to further enhance the overall user experience and interface, according to a press release. The software now features upgraded treatment planning tools, including an enhanced view of models and a streamlined patient management screen, that make it easier for clinicians on the SureSmile Aligner Platform to view key information.
The software also offers a simplified, streamlined prescription process that enables clinicians to work more efficiently.
Users now have a new dental examination process via a 2D color model of the upper and lower dental arch. With the model, clinicians can easily identify missing teeth, fixed teeth and teeth that need to be extracted.
A tooth movement icon opens the free-floating window with the tabs for displacements, elastics and measurements. The patient summary screen makes it easy to view important information such as the case's full expiration date, dental exam and prescription details, while communication with the SureSmile Digital Lab is facilitated through a streamlined and simplified prescription process.
The company also announced plans for the integration of SureSmile® VProTM, an at-home High Frequency Vibration (HFV) technology device, to the SureSmile workflow. That is expected to happen later this year.
