 BurtonBands Releases New VursaWedge Options

BurtonBands recently introduced three new VursaWedge options: medium and large sizes as well as an Anatomical VursaWedge designed for challenging furcation cases.

The new sizes and designs streamline Class II composite cases, according to a press release. VursaWedge products feature a proprietary split wedge design. The two legs of the wedge splay out to hold the matrix in place, creating a system that is compatible with all major ring systems.

Invented by Illinois dentist Dr. Matthew Burton, VursaWedge also solves Class II procedural inefficiencies such as gingival seal issues, matrix contour issues and proximal contact issues in one easy-to-use device. A better seal at the gingival margin also results in less flash, achieving better results with less time needed for finishing and polishing.

The current small size VursaWedge is ideal for use in healthy gingiva cases with little-to-no attachment loss. Larger sizes overcome larger embrasure cases, which is why the new medium and large sizes were developed.

The specialized Anatomical VursaWedge is for use with cases involving furcation. Its convex contour allows clinicians to predictably seal difficult furcation cases.

VursaWedge products are available to dentists in the U.S. and Canada through an exclusive distribution agreement with Young Specialties
