Anatomage Announces New Osteoid Subsidiary For its 3D Dental Technology Business

Anatomage recently announced that new wholly owned subsidiary Osteoid will take over the company’s 3D dental technology business.

Osteoid will focus on Invivo solutions and add new capabilities to advance digital dentistry, according to a press release. Calvin Hur, who has more than 20 years of experience in the 3D design and printing industry, will lead Osteoid as its CEO. Anatomage founder and CEO Jack Choi will serve Osteoid as an advisor.

The move will allow both companies to focus on expanding innovation in core specialty areas, with Anatomage focusing on its medical and educational solutions and Osteoid on 3D dentistry. This includes the Invivo 3D dental imaging solutions, its Invivo Workspace cloud-based platform, and solutions for precision surgical guide fabrication.

Osteoid, backed by resources from Anatomage, will make significant investments in R&D and Go-To-Market initiatives that deliver more precision and efficiency in visualizing unique anatomy for implant planning, orthodontic, endodontic and prosthodontic applications. Osteoid also will incorporate customer-driven innovation by developing solutions with strategic partners.

Future new offerings include Invivo6 Plus for 3D Design, added features for Invivo Workspace, and added capabilities for precision surgical guide production.

“Our team is proud to have earned the trust of dental experts for delivering products that streamline the dental workflow,” Choi said, according to the release. “As the separate dental-focused entity, Osteoid can remain on the leading edge of 3D visualization technology for the dental industry.”
