GRIP&SHOOT recently introduced an app designed to turn iPhones into the only camera dentists need for their practice.
The app makes it easy for dentists and team members of any skill level to capture professional patient photos, according to a press release. The Bluetooth Smart Grip attaches to the iPhone for ergonomic comfort and one-handed control. By pressing buttons on the Grip, users can zoom, capture and navigate the app while the other hand is free to manipulate mirrors and other tools.
The “G&S Dental” app walks users through image capture and streamlines the process. After a patient’s information is entered, users are given eight shots to capture (profiles, upper/lower occlusal, right/left lateral, and front views). Image overlays are included to help line up the shot, while the Grip’s button makes it possible to manipulate the frame.
Once the patient grid is populated, users can easily send the information to their own computer to record in the practice management software. The information also can be given to patients as a diagnostic report card.
